John Carpenter is incredible filmmaker. He's responsible for making some of the most iconic horror movies of all time - Halloween, The Thing, The Fog, Assault on Precinct 13, etc... but he's also an incredible musician/composer, and wrote these dark minimalistic synth soundtracks for most of his own movies.
